We were cross country skiing up Whiteface Highway-- not much of a higheway in the winter time. Although this photo looks like it's in black and white, I can assure that it's not. That was just the color of the day-- makes a great Xmas card!

For quite a few years, my wife Kathy and I have been paddling, hiking, camping, snowshoeing, and back-country skiing the Adirondack Mountains in Upstate New York. We never tire of the spectacular scenery and wildlife that we are so fortunate to see. Wherever we go, my camera is in my boat, backpack, or shoulder. While I spent most of my adult life living in the suburbs of New York City, I started coming up to the Adirondacks in the late 1960's. I bought my first vacation house up here in 1982.
